in Victoria?
Especially one that we have in Calgary and that is very close to my apartment. Not to mention one that I find mediocre.
Truth be told, there isn’t much to say about Famoso. I don’t like that it’s consistently crowded. I don’t like chain restaurants. I don’t like restaurants where you have to go up to order instead of being traditionally waited on.
The food is fine. It’s standard chain-restaurant fare. Nothing new or innovative, and nothing horribly offensive.
Your best bet is the veggie sandwich. I would recommend one of the infinitely better pizza places Victoria has to offer though. Prima Strada is better. Jeeze, even Brickyard is better.
A hallmark of the “Brooklyn aesthetic,” more and more restaurants nationwide are being decked out in rickety furniture that looks like it got ganked from the home of a Civil War reenactor. Note to restaurants: wall-mounted wagon wheels and photos of dead bearded dudes don’t make the food taste any better. Live in the now!
