…because I love salt.
I first tried out Saltlik a couple years back and I really enjoyed it.
I like the whole ambiance of the restaurant, and I really like that it serves steak. You know, on account of my love of steak.
The food is good and reasonably priced.
It becomes difficult to describe a steak house without comparing it to others in the city, so that is what I’m going to do.
It’s about on par with The Keg, maybe slightly better. It’s better than Chop. It’s not as good as Vintage.
Their baked potatoes are probably my favourites in the city; make sure you get one with all the fixin’s. Seriously.
The service is really good and the restaurant isn’t as loud as The Keg (I’m thinking of the one right below the Westin downtown; the one on 5th street isn’t too loud).
I’d definitely recommend trying Saltlik out. It probably won’t become your new favourite steakhouse, but it’s definitely worth a try. Make sure you try their molten chocolate cake. Delicious.
