I love Italian food on account of the fact that I love tomatoes and carbs. I also love wine. All good things.
Thus, I knew that I needed to try out Cibo on 17th Avenue.
I was a big fan of the interior. Very open and modern. I apreciated how light it was as well, as I find so many restaurants are opting for dimly lit dining areas lately and it’s rather depressing and sleep-inducing.
We started with three appetizers (which are very small; our waiter told us they were meant for tasting and he was not lying). We had lamb meatballs, bruscetta, and peppers. All of them were awesome, particularly the bruscetta.
For the main course we ordered the pineapple and the sundried tomato pizzas.
The crust was delicious. Not too thick or thin, and the toppings were all marvelous and complemented one another nicely.
I will definitely be coming abck to Cibo. It’s very close to my apartment, our food was good, I loved the atmosphere, and the service was phenomenal. Our server was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about both the drinks list and the menu. Highly recommended.
