…was Floyd’s.
It was mediocre then and it’s mediocre now. That’s not to say that it’s bad, it just is.
The funny thing about breakfast places is that the majority of them are so overwhelmingly similar that it’s often difficult to pinpoint exactly what’s wrong with a certain place.
At Floyd’s, the biggest upset lies in the fact that there is usually a line, the food is too greasy, and none of it is particularly innovative or good.
Portions are absolutely monstrous, presumably to make up for the fact that nothing is overly spectacular. It just seems to be a lot of average, greasy food.
All in all, Floyd’s isn’t terrible for what it is; a greasy breakfast joint for hungover University students. However, if you’re looking for a breakfast that is more flavourful and actually worth a wait in line and your hard-earned money, I would recommend Blue Fox, Shine, or Lady Marmalade all before Floyd’s.
