Lunch with loved ones. Hearts.

My aunt and grandmother love La Chaumiere, so we go all the time. I like it as well, for the most part, but it certainly is not my favourite locale. I have to admit that I am rather boring and usually order the same things, so I tried to venture out on our most recent visit.

I ordered the grilled ahi tuna (which I guess I have just been feeling lately, check out my post on Vintage Chophouse). It was done in an Asian style, which apparently is just a term for covered in soy sauce. The tuna was fine, but the vegetables were overcooked. I have had the same dish before and it was done much better, so I am not exactly sure what happened this particular day.

However, my family all ordered different dishes, ranging from liver to lamb, and it was mostly done quite well, despite one piece of liver being overdone (shocking because usually their meat is exceedingly rare).

La Chaumiere on Urbanspoon For the most part, I would never go to La Chaumiere unless my family was keen on going, but that being said I have yet to have a bad time. The food is pretty good, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is always excellent.
