I went to Vintage Chophouse the other night on account of my hunger for a nice juicy steak. However, after sitting down and taking a look at the menu, it was the grilled ahi tuna which really caught my eye. And three cheers for my choice, because I was definitely not disappointed.
Perhaps it was the half a bottle of wine I drank, but probably not, it was legitimately the best ahi tuna I have ever had. Covered in seasame seeds and grilled to perfection, I still dream about it at night.
The sides we all ordered were good, though the scalloped potatoes were the weakest of the bunch and nothing to write home about. The asparagus was good, though I would have been mighty impressed if it had been bad because that seems like quite a feat to accomplish. By far the best though was the macaroni and cheese. Holy hell. I had one bite and it was so rich I had to stop.
And finally, the steaks. Unsurprisingly, I was the only dork who ordered tuna. At the table we had a couple of rib eyes and a sirloin and I have to say, they were all perfect. Cooked just right and some of the best steak I have had. So overall, I one hundred percent recommend hitting up Vintage. You will not be disappointed.
I, like you, enjoy lotsa great things: academia and great resturants being among them. That I live in Ga. is of little conseiquence; and my Great resturant happens to be in Gainesville, Fla ( which I might add is 212 miles away, door to door), is called the “Bali Whoo”. I’m so glad its not right next door!
Eat, Drink and have a BIG TIME!!!! G
