Pizza… with CHEESE!!

So when I was vegan (aka when my life sucked and I couldn’t eat such wonderful things as ice cream and cheese), I would have to order my sandwiches, salads, and pizzas sans cheese. It was sad, but I made due. Now, thankfully, I can actually eat good food again and not be the unlucky sap eating cheese-less pizza.

I think that if cheese was alive, we would be very good friends. We would share secrets and make sarcastic remarks about bad television. It would eventually fall apart when I got hungry and began eating Cheese, but he would forgive me because he would understand how delicious he really is.

Ahh, me and Cheese. We are so happy together.

Anyway, I met up with a couple of friends recently and we had all heard good things about UNA, so we decided to hit it up. We went for lunch so there wasn’t a wait, though apparently for dinner (expecially on Fridays and Saturdays) there usually is a wait of about 30 minutes or so.

We planned to share a pizza and an appetizer but, on account of vegetarianism and personal preference, we couldn’t decide on a pizza, so we each ordered our own. I got the Sausage, which was delicious. The combination of cheese, sausage, and leeks was wonderful. The crust was perfect, just thin enough to be both crunchy and chewy. One of my friends got the 4-Maggi, which she described as very good and that the distinct taste of all four of the cheeses was apparent. My other friend got the Margherita, which looked the best of all of ours, and had just the right cheese-to-tomato sauce combination.

I was only able to eat two slices before having to have the rest of mine wrapped up, so I’m very excited about the leftovers I’ll be able to enjoy for the next couple of days. YAY for CHEESE!!

UNA Pizza and Wine on Urbanspoon          Overall, I would highly recommend visiting UNA. Our food was all very good and although our service was somewhat slow, our server was friendly. I don’t know how different the restaurant would be on a busy night. I’m somewhat claustrophobic and it’s quite small, so I would definitely take issue with being seated near the door if people were all jammed inside waiting for a table.
